Meet Emily Jade
Hi, I'm Emily Jade.
I'm the artist behind Art by Emily Jade, creating original textured floral artwork from my home studio in Cairns, Queensland.
I never imagined I'd one day be sharing my artwork with collectors across Australia. What started as a creative outlet gradually became something much bigger - a way to slow down, express myself and create pieces that bring beauty into people's homes.
I've always been drawn to flowers. I love the way they can completely transform a space, brighten someone's day and mark life's special moments. Through layers of acrylic and palette knives, I try to capture that same feeling in every painting.
One of my favourite parts of being an artist is knowing each piece becomes part of someone else's story. Whether it's a commission celebrating a loved one, a painting chosen for a first home, or simply a piece that makes someone smile every time they walk past it, that connection means everything to me.
When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me travelling, spending time with family and loved ones, enjoying a vanilla iced latte, or finding inspiration in the little moments that often make their way into my paintings.

Art became a creative escape during a fast-paced season of life, eventually growing into something much more meaningful. After being diagnosed with Scleroderma at 23, I found myself drawn even more deeply to nature and the sense of calm it brought me.
Flowers, gardens, changing seasons, and quiet moments outdoors continue to inspire my work today.

Artist Statement
Flowers have always represented more than beauty to me. They mark life's celebrations, offer comfort during difficult moments, and have a way of transforming even the simplest spaces into something warm and inviting.
Through layers of acrylic, modelling paste and palette knives, I create original textured floral artwork that invites people to slow down and appreciate the quiet beauty found in everyday life. Every bloom is built by hand, layer upon layer, making each painting completely unique.
My hope is that each piece becomes more than artwork on a wall. Whether it's chosen to celebrate a milestone, remember a loved one, or simply bring colour into a home, I want every painting to create a lasting connection with the people who live alongside it.
Ultimately, I create with the belief that art should bring joy, tell stories and become part of the homes and memories it finds.
